Mali Karbon Solaire
Solar energy, climate and valuing emission reductions
Project in preparation to foster the development and valuing of solar energy solutions, contribute to emission reductions, and explore mechanisms that can support durable energy pathways.

Environmental / ecological context illustration. Not proof of solar installations or carbon activities already delivered.

Contextual illustration of the project’s environmental dimension.

Contextual illustration. Does not document a solar installation already delivered by 2ACD.
Context
Faced with grid outages, many households and economic actors turn to solar power, which can reduce reliance on fossil generators.
Mali Karbon Solaire aims to better understand and value these climate benefits — without presenting installations, carbon credits or revenues as already delivered by 2ACD.
Objectives
- Foster the development and valuing of solar energy solutions
- Contribute to emission reductions linked to substituting fossil energy
- Explore mechanisms to value these emission reductions in support of durable energy solutions
Technical approach (deeper reading)
- MRV (Measurement, Reporting and Verification): a framework to measure, document and independently verify emission reductions so they can potentially be recognised on carbon markets.
- Assessment of the emission-reduction potential of the decentralised solar fleet
- Preparation of a carbon-finance and carbon-credit pathway — conceptual phase only
Capitalisation & outlook
No certification, generated carbon credits or carbon finance is presented as secured at this stage.
